A taste sensation – Reviewed 9 March 2014

The menu is at first a little daunting. We went with friends who have been many times before and knew the whole menu. (Photos of the dishes would help diners interpret the menu.) A small group works well, say two to four people who are willing to share. The variety of flavours was excellent. We tried the snapper, the slow-cooked pork (both quite small portions), and the quail with a side dish of fried cauliflower with berries (fabulous), then for the second round we went for the slow cooked brisket (plenty to share with four) which comes with flat bread and three side condiments which were excellent, and a side of cold baby beetroots.
At eight pm we had the option of leaving or moving to the high tables and staying for dessert. We stayed for dessert and coffee.
The desserts were creative. We tried the creamed figs with home-grown honey (wonderful flavours), the smashed chocolate with Turkish delight (delicious but very rich) and the cake. Visited March 2014.
