Tired in some places but a must-do for Australian children and overseas tourists –

Reviewed 18 October 2016

I took English visitors to see Lone Pine to see native animals. The layout and most of the enclosures were similar to how they were 30 years ago. This was a little disappointing. I calculated the basic income from visitor numbers via ticket sales and photos sales and realise this place has a huge income that does not appear to be getting reinvested into the business to improve the amenity for the animals or the visiting public. The open space for roaming kangaroos emus etc is much as it was decades ago. It does not have comfortable seating for adults to watch children interacting with the animals or basic play equipment for children or shade/rain cover. However, there were some welcome surprises such as the wifi spot. Visited September 2016.
