See Paris without dodging the traffic by stepping on a canal boat and gliding past the famous landmarks: the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame and many more plus the stone bridges. The river, once the transport hub of the city is still used by industrial vessels carrying gravel and containers as well as by sightseers in perspex-topped boats. A five day pass is good value for 21 euros on the Bateau Bus. Visited September 2012.
